Quick comparison

  • Normal — trade yes · bank yes · POS yes · instances yes · stake yes · XP ×50 · drop bonus +0
  • Ironman — trade no · bank yes · POS no · instances yes · stake no · XP ×20 · strong drop bonus
  • Ultimate Ironman — trade no · bank only with UIM bank item · POS no · instances no · stake no · XP ×10 · highest iron drop bonus
  • Veteran — trade yes · bank yes · POS yes · instances yes · stake yes · XP ×1 · very high drop bonus
  • League Master — trade only other League Masters / staff · bank yes · POS no · instances yes · stake no · XP ×50 · seasonal ladder

Normal

Recommended for new players. Full trading and standard systems. Fastest early learning curve. Great if you want to play with friends or buy/sell gear later.

Ironman

  • No trading or staking with other players
  • Self-sufficient drops and shops
  • Noticeable drop-rate / double-drop bonus vs Normal
  • Slower XP than Normal — plan longer sessions

Ultimate Ironman

  • All Ironman economy rules
  • No normal bank — inventory discipline is the challenge (special UIM bank item rules apply)
  • Cannot use instances
  • Highest iron-style drop bonuses

Veteran

Hardest XP curve (×1) with the strongest overall drop-rate style bonuses among tradeable modes. Pick this if you want a slow, high-reward grind and already understand the server.

League Master

  • Seasonal competitive mode
  • Use ::league for League tools (drops, kills, upgrades, minigames, globals, openings, misc progress)
  • Trading limited to other League Masters and staff
  • Player-owned shops (::pos) disabled
  • See the Avernic Leagues guide

Multi-account policy (important)

  • Up to 3 accounts total (example: Main + Iron + Veteran/League)
  • Battle Pass is for Main & Iron paths as stated in rules
  • No multi-PVM / one account per global boss
  • AFK zone is one account per IP
Can I change later?
Modes are locked after confirmation. Create another character (within account limits) if you want a different mode.
