Android Client

Avernic is a custom APK (not on the Play Store). Android will warn you — that is expected. Allow installs from your browser or Files app once, then tap Install.

1. Download the APK on your phone (Chrome is easiest). If Chrome says the file might be harmful, tap Download anyway or Keep.
2. Open the file from the download notification, or open Files / My Files and tap the Avernic APK.
3. Allow this source. Android 8 and newer blocks unknown apps per app, not globally. When you see “For your security, your phone isn’t allowed to install unknown apps from this source”:
   • Tap Settings
   • Turn on Allow from this source (Chrome, Files, or whatever you used)
   • Go back and tap Install
4. Play Protect. If Google Play Protect blocks the install, tap More details → Install anyway. Custom RSPS clients are not listed on the Play Store, so this warning is normal.
5. Open Avernic from your app drawer. To update later, download the new APK here and install over the existing app (do not uninstall first if you want to keep data).

Only download the APK from this official page. If a step looks different, search your phone’s settings for “Install unknown apps”.
