Welcome to Avernic

A full first-session walkthrough: mode choice, home, starter track, shops, voting, website hub, and what to do next.

Updated September 7, 2026 1 week ago

Avernic is a custom RSPS built around clear progression: starter track → Tarn Tower / monsters → Slayer & AFK → Merchant Guild → world bosses → instances → forge / upgrades / perks → globals, KOTH & events. This guide walks you through a strong first session so you never feel lost.

Always available
Type ::commands in chat for the in-game command guide. The website lists every player command, plus Development → Explore for live skills, perks, and party invocations.

Before you log in

  • Download the client from https://avernic.net/play (or use the launch options listed there).
  • Create your website account at https://avernic.net if you plan to vote, use the store, or buy membership — use the same username as in-game.
  • Link Discord from website Settings so ranks and community features stay in sync. Join Discord with ::discord.
  • Grab the latest client from https://avernic.net/play (first-person camera, voice chat, and HD polish live there).

1. Create your character & pick a mode

After logging in you choose a game mode. This choice is permanent for that character. Read the full Game Modes Explained guide before locking in if you are unsure.

  • Normal — best for most new players. Trade freely, fastest XP (×50), no iron restrictions.
  • Ironman — no trading/staking; slower XP (×20); better drop rates than Normal.
  • Ultimate Ironman — Iron rules + severe bank limits; XP ×10; strongest iron-style drop bonus.
  • Veteran — XP ×1 (slow grind), high challenge, large drop-rate bonus; trading allowed.
  • League Master — seasonal competitive mode. Trade only with other League Masters (and staff). Use ::league.
Account limit
Server rules allow up to 3 accounts total (typically 1 Main, 1 Iron, 1 Veteran/League). Battle Pass applies to Main & Iron. Do not multi-box the same PVM or global bosses.
Group Ironman
Group Ironman is currently disabled. If you are unsure, pick Normal.

2. Where you are

New characters start near the starter tower / early monster path. Your safe hub is Home.

  • ::home — teleport Home (2199, 3743). Hotkey: Ctrl+H.
  • ::monsters — open the main teleport interface (training, bosses, and more).
  • ::slayer — Slayer master area (2229, 3750).
  • ::afk — AFK zone (one account per IP there).
  • ::hunter — hunter area.
  • ::party — group up and toggle party invocations.
  • ::merchant / ::guild — Merchant Guild daily contracts and Guild Token shop.
  • ::koth — King of the Hill (only while the hunt is live).
  • ::globaltasks — Global Boss Event objectives (spawns The Don).

3. First 30 minutes — do this in order

  1. Set a bank PIN and review ::security / ::changepassword (see Account Security & Rules).
  2. Open ::track and start the starter kill track (Blurite Goblin → Orc → Demon → Werewolf → Centaur, then mid monsters).
  3. Talk to starter-task NPCs near the tower if prompted — complete early tasks for starter tokens.
  4. Buy food (and teleport tabs if needed) from the General Shop with coins.
  5. Kill early tower / track monsters until combat feels comfortable. Use Protect prayers when learning harder NPCs.
  6. Open ::commands and practice: ::home, ::monsters, ::afk, ::slayer, ::merchant, ::vote, ::redeem vote.
  7. Vote on the website, then claim with ::redeem vote. Check ::votestreak and ::daily.
  8. Open ::bp (Season Pass) so you understand Free / Gold / Premium tracks early.
  9. Open ::merchant and complete a daily Guild contract if you have spare items.

4. Starter tokens & early shops

Starter tasks and track rewards give starter tokens and starter boxes. Spend tokens in the Starter Shop on packs, bones, and early gear/tokens.

As you play you will unlock more currencies and shops:

  • Vote Shop — vote points / tickets from voting
  • Slayer Shop — Slayer tickets / points from tasks
  • AFK Shop — AFK tickets from the AFK zone and AFK rocks
  • Donation Shop — store / bond value
  • Merchant Guild — Guild Tokens from daily deposit contracts (::merchant)
  • Later systems: Forge shops, upgrade interfaces, planetary outposts, party invocations, titles, and server perks

5. How a typical play session looks

  • Active combat: ::track / tower / ::monsters → world bosses → instances when unlocked → ::slayer tasks.
  • Short session / multitasking: ::afk for tickets (remember: one account per IP in AFK).
  • Account power: ::bp, ::achieve, ::collection, ::perks, ::party, ::merchant, ::upgrade, ::forge, ::bonus, ::outposts, ::titleshop.
  • Daily loop: ::daily → ::vote → ::redeem vote → ::votestreak → ::merchant → ::globaltasks → play.
  • Events: Fall season (Sept 1–Nov 1), globals, King of the Hill (::koth), Tax the Rich, and weekend bonuses.
